Rum X Rusty Litter

- RMM (Red Merle Male)
- BTF (Black Tri Female)
- BMM (Blue Merle Male)
- BMF (Blue Merle Female)
- RTF (Red Tri Female)
- IMF (Isabella Merle Female)
- BMM (Blue Merle Male)
- RTM (Red Tri Male)

Surprisingly, this litter produced a Non-Standard Colored Australian Shepherd (Isabella Merle Female), which means that both parents were a carrier of the Dilution Gene, and that this lucky little female got both copies of the Dilution gene! This also means that some of these puppies can/will carry one copy of the Dilution gene. We currently do not know which puppies will carry this gene.

Do not worry though! The dilution gene is not an abnormality, or some kind of disease, it's just a recessive gene that changes the base coat. Any/All Non-Standard colored Aussies are healthy! They are just not allowed within Conformation Shows as it's considered a "fault" within the breed.


I know I said that these pups were due sometime around Thanksgiving or Christmas, but I guess we were wrong. These pups were born just this morning! Colors and Genders are still unknown right now, but we'll update soon!
